Sylvie Desmet, founder of FamilyEye, explains how she took her first international steps. FamilyEye has developed a fall-detection device for elderly people that automatically sends out an alert to family members and caretakers.
Sylvie wasn’t planning on scaling her business to Germany, until The Factory invited her to join the Go Global Mission to Berlin in September 2018. Previously, she participated in the Get Investor Ready Bootcamp. In Berlin, she met with investors and got introduced to the local startup ecosystem. She returned home with an investors deal and an application to an acceleration program that kicked off her business in Germany.
