The Factory is an environment completely dedicated to innovation, co-creation & conception of digital solutions for EY and our clients.

As a member of the innovation team, you will get the chance to take part in the complete innovation cycle (from idea, to concept, to MVP, to finished product or service). You will work in a startup-like environment, with short communication lines and in a small team.

We are looking for someone who can challenge the technical standards of the team. Constant feedback, discussions on architecture, programming style and practices will be highly valued.

Your challenges and responsibilities

  • Frontend developer interested in building innovative applications, platforms and/or frameworks, to enhance productiveness and effectiveness at work environment;
  • Able to defend technical concepts including software architecture, taking into account user-friendliness and graphical design;
  • Able to work in an Agile development environment and to follow the lean startup methodology.

This is you

  • Proven ability to write software (e.g., having a professional bachelor in informatics or related field or practical experience). In particular, experienced in developing intuitive web-based applications;
  • Fluency in JavaScript or Node.js with some experience with React framework;
  • Frontend experience with HTML5 and CSS is valued;
  • Experience with SharePoint technology and/or RPA is valued;
  • Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates and AJAX is valued;
  • Having had one first professional experience is a plus;
  • Experience with open source projects is a plus;
  • Ability to operate autonomously in a startup-like environment;
  • Collaborative, solution-driven, team-oriented mindset.

For this team, we are looking for a Business Hustler. Now… what’s in a name? Within The Factory, we have a program called EYnovation, that supports start-ups & scale-ups with EY expertise. Our business is growing rapidly, and we need a skilled Business Developer to develop and manage relationships with clients.

Your challenges and responsibilities

  • Execute and respect the team’s KPI’s.
  • Create relevant content that fits the needs of the market and within our events calendar
  • Use your network to find the right experts or speakers for our events
  • Be a coach for the start & scaleups to guide them to the right support we provide in our programs.
  • Play an active role as moderator or coach in our activities workshops, bootcamps, etc.
  • Lead international missions with a delegation of start-ups and scale-ups
  • Analyze the market and identify new opportunities within the landscape
  • Develop new relationships with prospective clients and maintain existing clients relationships
  • Collaborate with our partners in the ecosystem within our partnerships agreements
  • Build internal stakeholder relationships within EY

This is you:

  • 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in business development and sales
  • Has (basic) knowledge of the start-up landscape in Belgium

That’s where The Factory comes in – it’s an environment completely dedicated to innovation, co-creation & conception of digital solutions for EY and our clients.

For this team, we are looking for a Sales coordination & Events McGyver. Now… what’s in a name? Within The Factory, we have a program called EYnovation, that supports start-ups & scale-ups with EY expertise. There’s a lot going on at the same time: expert sessions, workshops, bootcamps, events, international missions, follow-up meetings… Your role is to keep track and support the organization of all these activities and make sure we have a clear overview of what’s going on.

Your challenges and responsibilities

  • Collecting data for a monthly reporting and keep an eye on the team’s KPI’s is a key responsibility. Talking about data… you will also update the database and be proactive in optimizing it.
  • If a startup wants to have an EY expert session, you will plan the session and make sure the right connection is made.
  • You will follow-up and make sure the EY experts correctly report their services to the start-ups.
  • Together with the team, you will be involved in creating the agenda for international missions and connect with the EY experts to know their availabilities
  • Gather market intelligence data of the ecosystem and evolution of our startups
  • You will support your team members in the practical organization of events:
  • Look for the best suited location and/or hotel
  • Keep track and co-design program agenda’s and communication together with our marketing team
  • Make sure the event runs smoothly by giving our guests a warm welcome, order catering, manage the participants lists and create feedback forms (venue and/or hotel bookings, catering, logistics, …)

This is you:

  • 1 to 2 years of experience in a sales administration and/or events coordinative role
  • A true hands-on mindset and not afraid to get your hands dirty
  • A perfectionist that loves the challenge of organizing a chaotic environment
  • Loves to work with Excel files and gets a kick out of dotting the i’s and crossing the t’s
  • Interested in the startup world is a serious plus
  • A loyal team player that helps out where needed
  • Excellent Dutch and English writing skills
  • Eager to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, startup-like environment
