For this team, we are looking for a Tech Lead. Now… what’s in a name?

  • The main objective of the Lab is to implement new tools and platforms to innovate EY from within. Your responsibility will be to manage our small Lab team (6 people), both from the operational and people side and manage different stakeholders.
  • Managing all technology at our wavespace will be key – this is the physical space where our service offerings related to innovation and new technology come to life. Also the magnificent HQ of The Factory!
  • Being front-runner in terms of new technologies in order to strategically advise the management on the areas to focus in the long term is a third key responsibility of our Tech Lead.

This is you

  • 8+ years of experience in development background
  • Holding a master degree in IT, Technology or any other related subject.
  • Experience with managing small teams
  • Stakeholder management is on your competencies list
  • Passionate about new technologies and eager to investigate use cases
  • Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application, as well as general programming and architectural patterns
  • Affinity with economic context of innovation within a corporate
  • Experience with SCRUM development and other Agile methodologies
  • Fluent in English and Dutch, French is a plus
  • Eager to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, startup-like environment and a team player

The Factory is an environment completely dedicated to innovation, co-creation & conception of digital solutions for EY and our clients.

As a member of the innovation team, you will get the chance to take part in the complete innovation cycle (from idea, to concept, to MVP, to finished product or service). You will work in a startup-like environment, with short communication lines and in a small team.

We are looking for someone who can challenge the technical standards of the team. Constant feedback, discussions on architecture, programming style and practices will be highly valued.

Your challenges and responsibilities

  • Frontend developer interested in building innovative applications, platforms and/or frameworks, to enhance productiveness and effectiveness at work environment;
  • Able to defend technical concepts including software architecture, taking into account user-friendliness and graphical design;
  • Able to work in an Agile development environment and to follow the lean startup methodology.

This is you

  • Proven ability to write software (e.g., having a professional bachelor in informatics or related field or practical experience). In particular, experienced in developing intuitive web-based applications;
  • Fluency in JavaScript or Node.js with some experience with React framework;
  • Frontend experience with HTML5 and CSS is valued;
  • Experience with SharePoint technology and/or RPA is valued;
  • Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates and AJAX is valued;
  • Having had one first professional experience is a plus;
  • Experience with open source projects is a plus;
  • Ability to operate autonomously in a startup-like environment;
  • Collaborative, solution-driven, team-oriented mindset.
